Patent Law Firm is growing! I’m pleased to announce that Diane Taylorjoined our firm in September 2017 as our first full-time paralegal. She comes to us from Ericsson’s United States headquarters, where she served as a senior patent paralegal.

Our team is officially a gang of patent geeks now: Even our paralegal has passed the U.S. patent office’s patent bar exam! (For the benefit of non patent geeks, I’d like to point out that this is exceedingly rare. Personally, I don’t know another paralegal with this credential.) We’re really proud to bring in another professional with this level of sophistication and patent savvy.

Diane’s also a fantastic cultural fit with our firm and our clients. She brings a hard-working, solutions-oriented attitude to the office every day. She also brings a breadth of experience, having worked as a paralegal at multiple law firms and Fortune 500 tech companies, a huge asset for our growing firm.

Over more than a decade as a paralegal, Diane’s work has revolved around intellectual property matters and focused mainly on clients in the communications technology space. She already speaks the language of our firm’s high-tech clients, and she’s eager to learn more and serve our clients’ needs. In her first few weeks alone, Diane has been able to help us improve our operations, thanks to the wisdom she’s gained serving in law firm and corporate positions since 1990.

In addition to her patent paralegal work handling U.S. and international patent filings, Diane will be coordinating our docketing and workflow systems and managing the firm’s office operations. She’s excited to tackle a ton of responsibility (and I’m excited to let her!), and I only expect her role to expand as we grow.

Diane earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Dallas and has completed her paralegal certification, passed the U.S. patent office’s “patent bar” examination, and earned her certificate in paralegal management earlier in 2017.

Please join us in welcoming this talented professional to our team! We’re happy to have you, Diane.
