John Bossert is a patent attorney who helps tech companies build and manage their patent portfolios. John leverages his tech industry experience to develop robust patent filings for software and computer implemented inventions.
John has experience on three continents as a software engineer, database developer/architect, consultant, and project/program manager. As an engineer, he has worked with both Fortune 100 companies and startups, where he designed and implemented internal and customer-facing web and database applications, and managed teams of software engineers, technicians, and technical writers. As a consultant, he advised senior management on the adoption of open-source software strategies and assisted wireless communication companies and other organizations procure and implement database technologies.
John’s first career in engineering provided him with an opportunity to work alongside revolutionaries in the computer and software industries, developing the technologies that are the foundation of today’s miracles. His practice in patent law allows him to help the next generation protect their intellectual property and incentivize further progress.
